About The Company
La Artisan, subsidiary of Gourmet Venture is a new age Food and Beverage company venturing out into restaurants, bars and artisanal products. Currently, they operate 3 restaurants in Kolkata, La Artisan Bistro, La Artisan Cafe and are franchisee partners for SodaBottleOpenerWala (unit of Olive Group). The latest venture are the artisan products which have been started with pour over coffee bags.
The team behind La Artisan consists of Aayush Killa, Tanay Agarwal, Nishu Nigam and Debraj Bose.
Tanay Agarwal
After completing Business Commerce from La Martiniere (Kolkata), Tanay went to study in the United States where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Bryant University located in Rhode Island.
After he returned to India, he started working to develop new brands and along with his team, successfully developed and introduced Calcutta Gin and La Artisan. Along with his team, he thrives to make La Artisan a chain of success.
Nishu Nigam
Mr. Nigam holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Physics and a Master of Business Management with specialisation in Marketing, both from the University of Calcutta. He also holds a Diploma in Foreign Trade from the Institute of Export Management, Kolkata. He is working in the field of liquor sales & marketing since the last 28 years wherein he has also been associated with product development and has a vast experience in gauging the market behaviour and central tendencies that influence the liquor industry.
As a partner in Gourmet Venture, he brings to the table his vast experience in product development, market research and reaching new heights of success.
Debraj Bose
Mr. Bose is an MBA with expertise in Sales, Operations , key accounts management and Leadership. He has vast experience in the Alcoholic Beverage and FMCG industry having been associated earlier with companies such as Shaw Wallace , Allied Domecq plc, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and The Coca Cola Company .
At present, he is actively engaged with the managing of overall resources and manufacturing operations of Transways Group based out of Kolkata which includes a foreign liquor manufacturing unit – as well as a country liquor manufacturing unit.
Aayush Killa
Following his passion to explore something new in the Food & Beverage Industry since his school days at La Martiniere For Boys, Aayush has been keen on opening a chain of restaurants across India. Starting off as a franchisee partner for Massive Restaurants (headed by Zorawar Kalra), he along with the team have ventured out in a partnership with Olive Restaurants (Headed by Ad Singh) and is now working on expanding their own brands.
After graduating from St. Xavier’s College with a Bachelors of Commerce degree, Aayush went to the UK and has armed himself with a Masters of Science degree from the Queen Mary University of London. He believes he has a long way to go in the Food and Beverage Industry and is looking at opening more new places very soon.
